  • I'm back, baby!

It's been a decade, but I'm back! If there are any guys still around from back then, you might have known me as pickpocket293 -- Those credentials are long gone, and unfortunately so is the bike.

These days I'm in the northwest burbs of Chicago with a 2019 R3 and if I can get the thing track-ready, I'm looking forward to getting back out to blackhawk... Maybe even this summer!

While I have you here, if anyone has a line on some track bodywork, rearsets and/or a chain/sprocket kit for a 2019 R3, I'm most definitely in the market.

I know Spoot is still around because he approved my account-- is anyone else still around from back in the day? Clint, Tammy, Steve, etc?

Spoot pops in every so often, posts a bunch, then is gone again. I haven't seen Tammy post here for a bit but is a little more active on the FB group. Clint sold his stuff to pursue other interests for a bit, and Steve is mostly out. Saw him at the MA race last year though.

Assuming I'm thinking of the same people.

The FB group is a little more active though not a lot. Tech issues with the forum and covid kinda knocked out activity. It comes in waves though, so maybe it'll bounce back with the weather.

I just renewed the lic for the forum...$180/yr.

Capitalview has an R3 decked out, so he might be a good one to talk to about track parts - what to use, etc

The repeated forum hacks certainly put a dent in activity - and then, as mentioned -covid-, but hopefully things will pick up again.

Peeps need to contribute in order to see "activity"

Tony! What's up buddy!? You've been chasing that racer thing for some time now! I'm glad it's coming together for you! I've almost certainly gotten very slow, and the past few years hasn't been too kind to my waistline, so I'll have to double-check that my suit fits.

Track bodywork for an R3 seems to be incredibly hard to come by, so I'm contemplating biting the bullet and buying some skarkskinz new and rattle-canning them into something decent looking.

You probably won't find much used out there for the 2019 R3 since the Kawasaki 400 has taken over. Norton Motorsports or Spears racing are two good choices for R3 parts.
